The George Tavern has two bar areas – the Sports bar and Empire Lounge area which are both linked to undercover heated decks. The Empire Deck features an outdoor pool table. We have 19 Beers on Tap, a huge Wine List featuring some of Hunter Valley’s best & a delicious Cocktail & Freakshake list for the dare devils. The Hotel has full TAB and Keno facilities, as well as a first class VIP room & 32 HD televisions plus our 2.2m Projector Screen so you can catch all live sport action from around the world!
Every Friday from 7.30pm we have a featured soloist performing live & DL from 8.30pm til late. Saturday night from 8.30pm a duo livens up the night. Each month we select a popular band or two, from the Hunter and afar to help us party the night away! Our monthly Entertainment listing can be found under the ‘What’s On’ tab or on our Facebook page.
We have carefully created our Food Menu based on many factors, most importantly, what our customers want. Choose your meal according to your situation, mood or naughtiness.
If you are feeling healthy, you can choose a salad, or substitute your pasta for our zuchinni noodles tossed in one of our new pasta sauces. Something with a twist? Why not add a delicious sauce or compound butter to your salmon, chicken or steak & choose a couple of sides to share. If you are after an easy pub meal then you are going to reach for something from our favourites or for our schnitty!
