Specialist medical services, and promoting the coordination of these services
The Great Southern Specialist Centre provides specialist medical and associated services to Albany, the Great Southern, and surrounding regions. Through a combination of face to face, visiting and telehealth services we endeavour to provide country patients with specialist health care as close to home as possible.
In cases where a service is not provided at Great Southern Specialist Centre we aim to develop and support pathways and multi-disciplinary approaches to co-ordinate care delivered in Perth which enables follow-ups to be performed closer to home.
We will continue to work with the Department of Health and the private health industry to bring further specialist services to the Great Southern region.
