Our huts have our heart and soul within their walls
We’ve seen them all go through many phases and upgrades. You know how it is, we look back at these changes and cringe at some of the old photos and wonder ‘what were we thinking’?
We’ve put so much thought and consideration into creating these huts, keeping them fresh & evolving without compromising their original charm & magic. We know we’ve created thousands of special memories at the beach huts & this is why we love to do what we do.
Bondi is one of our original huts and is a favourite of the ‘surfie’ guest, possibly because of the name. 😊 It has a private outside deck with a
view over the Village Green & garden. It took a while for us to be fully satisfied with Bondi’s interior, but we finally achieved the ‘relaxed, beachy’
feel we were after.
We built & created our ‘green & white’ Brighton hut on site in 2004 with a classy, ‘beachy’ theme & remodelled the bathroom in 2016.
We originally painted this hut a bright yellow….it didn’t work! The boys had to start the paintwork all over again.
Brighton has one of the best views in the house because it faces the Village green & lovely gardens.
Enjoy your breakfast from the deck of this light, bright & happy hut & enjoy the ‘me time’ which seems to escape us all.
Coogee is one of the original six huts & a major reason we decided to paint all huts in the bright, ‘beachy’ stripes. We loved the yellow & white exterior
& the idea grew from there!
We renovated the bathroom in 2016 and gave it a spacious, sophisticated style. The outside deck has the morning sun for a coffee & the afternoon
shade for a wine.
We put a lot of thought into how we could make Coolum ‘romantic & rustic’. It has a great combination of old and new pieces to give it the ‘rustic’ & the
corner spa in the modern bathroom looks over the courtyard & garden to give it the ‘romantic’ .
Cottesloe (named after the beach in Western Australia) was built onsite in 2004 & has seen major changes over the years. We wanted our guests to be
able to enjoy the Village Green & gardens from their deck AND inside the hut.
We originally painted this hut ‘road workers’ orange’, it seemed like a great idea at the time – it wasn’t, I’m not sure WHAT we were thinking.
We love how the changes in 2016 have really added some charm & brightness to the hut & it basically screamed.
Henley was the last hut built on site & we really wanted it to have a ‘beachy vibe’. It is the Beach Huts Middleton after all! We decided to make Henley
with families in mind. Having children, we knew it could be a challenge to find suitable accommodation which catered for both. It needed a secure back
yard & BBQ, a bigger kitchen & a place for everyone to comfortably sit & eat.
You can’t help but feel you’re close to the beach when you step inside Henley. It is such a bright, happy space with lots of red, white & blues.
Henley is probably the hut which has had the least amount of change. The furnishings are much lighter now & the garden has grown, other than that,
we haven’t felt the need to change Henley too much.
