At Pinocchio Early Learning Centre, we aim to provide high quality education and care for all children. The principles of the Early Years Learning Framework Belonging, Being and Becoming (EYLF) underpin our everyday practices as we support children to achieve learning and developmental outcomes.

We support children’s sense of wellbeing through respectful and nurturing relationships and flexible, predicable routines. We aim to provide an environment where children feel safe to explore and learn through play. We understand families are children’s most influential teachers and we encourage collaborative partnerships in all aspects of the curriculum to provide meaningful interactions and learning experiences.

We are committed to equity and believe in every child’s ability to achieve success and become lifelong learners. We challenge our practices to ensure curriculum decisions support the participation of all children. Our learning curriculum values diversity and reflects each child’s culture, identity, abilities and strengths. We provide opportunities to learn about similarities and difference within meaningful contexts and our community. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded in all aspects of our curriculum.

We are committed to professional development and critical reflection as we question our practices and gather information to support, inform and enrich decision making about children’s learning and development.
