Lakes Entrance is situated at a man made channel that links the Bass Strait and the Tasman Sea with the 400 square kilometer network of inland waterways known as the Gippsland Lakes. As a water front town, Lakes Entrance is a very popular all year round holiday destination, including the winter months when the climate is often a few degrees warmer than Melbourne.
A walk across the footbridge which crosses Cunninghame Arm links the town centre with the sand dunes and wind-swept coastline of Bass Strait, popular with surfers and swimmers. There is a large area for boat/trailer parking and we are a short walk to the main shopping centre. We are located directly opposite the lake.
