Provide a nurturing, caring and safe environment for all our children to learn, grow and develop
Pedder Patter Child Care Centre, located close to the central business district of Launceston, was established in 1988 as a non profit organisation to help meet the needs of the local community. It is managed by the Director and a voluntary committee of people who are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.
The Centre is licensed to cater for up to 50 children at a time aged from birth to six years. There are 4 care areas, each catering for the individual needs of a different age group. Each area has a separate age appropriate outdoor environment. Click on each room (above) to view more information about that room.
The centre values the ideas and contributions of all children and their families, members of the community and staff and will endeavour to utilise and implement these into the developmental programs.
We have expanded our existing services by continuing to provide quality After School and Vacation care programs based at West Launceston Primary School and After School care only at Youngtown Primary School.
We also offer a Preschool program run in the new Early Learning facility at West Launceston Primary School. Our program caters for children aged 4-5 and is run by a qualified Early Childhood teacher and a Diploma qualified educator.
