Coober Pedy Car & Mechanical operates in a remote, dry, hot region where even simple problems can be serious.
Because of the remoteness of our region we understand the need to undertake reliable servicing and provide “right first time” solutions. We recognise that many of our customers have trips, accommodation, and even international flights scheduled. In recognition of this we focus on timely diagnosis, repair options, and problem resolution.
In Business since 2014 Coober Pedy Car & Mechanical Service is located in the main street (Hutchison street) and is opposite the Drive In Cinema with its screen proving a useful landmark. (Operations commenced in approximately 2004 as Tyre Centre Coober Pedy. The business was purchased in 2013 by the Hall family and a mechanical workshop was also established). On becoming a Repco Authorised Service Centre the trading name was changed to Coober Pedy Car & Mechanical Service.

If a customer’s needs are such that there are parts delays we can provide comment on local accommodation, attractions, and also assist in short term transport needs. At times a response to our customers may require journeys of hundreds of kilometres, so our service vehicles carry adequate fresh water, first aid, fuel and sat-phone communications.
