The Maryborough Child Care Centre is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT community based centre, which opened in 1986. This service was the first long day care centre in the region which came about through the vision, dedication and hard work of parents on the management committee in the early 1980’s. Through long term, consistent management and staffing the centre has grown and flourished, providing a very warm and welcome place where children, families and staff feel “at home”.
The Centre provides a rich nurturing learning environment with huge shady, natural, “better than Burkes Backyard” playgrounds, resource rich play rooms and most important of all, educators who are passionate about their chosen career. Believing that high quality early childhood education is provided by high quality staff, the centre has historically and continues to employ more educators than required by National Regulations so that we have excellent adult to child ratios. All our educators are very well qualified and committed to ongoing professional development to maintain currency in their understandings, knowledge and practice.
