Terralong Street Surgery is proud to be a fully accredited practice under the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) program.

The Practice provides 24-hour care for patients. Please ring the surgery number 02 4233 1155 and leave a message. The doctor on call will respond to your enquiry as soon as the doctor is available. After hours charges apply for out-of-hours consultations.

Home visits are available for regular patients of the Practice whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery.

GPs within the Practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours by phoning 02 4233 1155. If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken and your call will be returned as soon as possible. We will immediately give appropriate advice in response to a call for emergency assistance.

Your doctor will advise you, during the consultation, when your results are expected to be available. We will contact you if you need to make an appointment to discuss your results with your doctor. Please note that your privacy and our Practice policy prevents us from discussing your results over the phone. For that reason, you will need an appointment.

Our Practice is committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included on our reminder system. We may issue with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please advise your doctor or reception.

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is Practice policy to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised staff. Patients can assist by advising updated details to your GP or reception staff. We abide by the ten National Privacy Principles which are available on the website for the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
